According to Yashts and other Zoroastrian references, this god sometimes has an even higher position than Ahuramazda. Due to his power and influence, he was not easily settled in Mazdayasna like other pre-Zoroastrian gods and created some disturbances in this religion. On the other hand, considering the importance and place of the “wind” phenomenon in the works of mystics such as Sanai, Attar and Rumi, we decided to study the relationship between wind in Mathnavi and Avesta and compare the position of wind from both mythological and mystical perspectives. The question of this descriptive-analytical research is, whether the god of the wind, with all its importance and greatness, is reflected in post-Islamic mystical beliefs or not, and furthermore, can there be any indication that Rumi’s mystical understanding of the phenomenon of wind is influenced by the ideas of ancient Iran? Apparently, the importance of allegories of wind for Rumi goes back more to the Qur’an and Islamic attitudes. However, the result obtained in the end confirms some indirect influence which originates from the Iranian collective unconscious about this forgotten god. وای، نام ایزدی بزرگ و مقتدر در ایران باستان است که مظهر باد بوده، یکی از یشت­های اوستا به او اختصاص دارد. از یشت­ها و سایر متون زرتشتی چنین برمی­آید که این ایزد گاه جایگاهی حتی بالاتر از اهورامزدا دارد و بازتاب درخشانی در آیین­های باستانی دارد. وای به­دلیل قدرت و نفوذ خود، همچون دیگر ایزدان پیش از زرتشت، به‌راحتی در مزدیسنا حل نشد و نابسامانی­هایی را در این آیین پدید آورد؛ از­سوی­دیگر نظر به اهمیت و جایگاه پدیدۀ «باد» در آثار برخی عرفا همچون سنایی، عطار و مولانا بر آن شدیم به بررسی مناسبات باد در مثنوی و اوستا و مقایسۀ جایگاه باد در دو نگرش اساطیری و عرفانی بپردازیم. پرسش این پژوهش، که با روش توصیفی- تحلیلی نوشته‌شده، این است که آیا ایزد باد، با آن مایه اهمیت و عظمت، بروز و ظهوری در عقاید عرفانی پس از اسلام یافته است یا خیر و آیا می­توان نشانه­ای یافت مبنی بر اینکه فهم عرفانی مولانا از مقولۀ باد، متأثر از اندیشه­های ایران باستان است؟ ظاهراً اهمیت تماثیل باد نزد مولانا بیشتر به قرآن و نگرش­های اسلامی بازمی­گردد؛ اما نتیجه­ای که در پایان به دست می­آید مؤید نوعی اثرپذیری غیرمستقیم و منبعث از ناخودآگاه جمعی ایرانی درخصوص این ایزد فراموش­شده است. https://jcrl.birjand.ac.ir/article_2149_d30960ce77e83d896503d43ba249caf7.pdf
