Abstract

These literary treasures, while increasing knowledge, show the poets' reaction to the religious and political ideals of the Shiites and the oppression of the rulers of the time in the form of Tawli and Tabari. This research attempts to introduce one of the most important examples of the Velayat-nameh, namely the poem "Shahrāh Nejat" by Majzoob Tabrizi, in a descriptive and analytical manner. The thematic structure and constituent elements of the poem "Shahrāh Nejat" have been examined. In addition, the discovery and analysis of the deep religious, mystical and social themes hidden in "Shahrāh Nejat" and the study of these themes are emphasized on spiritual understanding and recognition of Shiite mysticism. The result shows that in this work, the poet has considered the symbolic path of the journey of the "heart" in search of finding the "key of salvation". The path of the heart's journey, which begins with the use of narrative language in the form of a debate and with the metaphor of building a house for the "heart" for the "friend", is depicted as a process of spiritual evolution; so that the movement of the truth-seeker from the mountains and plains towards the sky, reaching the destination, namely the shrine of Imam Ali (AS), as the embodiment of perfection and guidance, is a symbol of the stages of human progress and evolution on the path to perfection.
