The sense of revenge is the vital principle that is deposited in the existence of all humans and even some animals. Although today, a non-positive attitude towards revenge can be seen among people; But as an example and in national rituals, this matter has always been praised and appreciated. The cult of vindictiveness in Iranian myths and epics has a symbolic foundation that tells of the battle with the enemies of religion and religion and the borders of the homeland. One of the most important Iranian epics in which revenge is considered a sacred thing is the book"Yadegar Zariran". In this book, it is emphasized that blood revenge should be taken in order to maintain the border and land, religion, throne, national pride and punish the enemy. And based on this plot, Zareer's son, with the help of his friends, takes revenge for his father's blood. In this research, relying on the descriptive-analytical method, the revenge ritual in ancient Iran has been studied, and then the motivations for revenge and the methods of revenge in Iranian epics have been investigated, and at the end, the reflection of this ritual It has been discussed in Yadgar Zariran and this achievement has been achieved that the ritual of revenge in Iranian myths and epics has been carried out with various personal or social motivations, and in Zariran's story, the type of revenge is of a social type and with a purpose. Retribution and punishment of the enemy and often on the battlefield.
