Shia poetic compositions contain valuable information about the teachings and virtues of Prophet’s household as well as the socio-political events of the early centuries of Islam from a Shia perspective. These literary treasures not only enhance knowledge but also reflect the poets’ responses to the religious and political ideals of the Shia and to the oppression of rulers of the time, expressed through the concepts of tawallā (taking as allies) and tabarrā (dissociating from enemies). This study aims to introduce one of the most important examples of Shia poetic compositions, namely the poem The Highway of Salvation by Majzub Tabrizi, using a content analysis approach. To this end, the conceptual framework and the constitutive elements of this poem have been examined. In addition, the research emphasizes identifying and analyzing deep religious, mystical, and social themes and investigating their impact on spiritual understanding and knowledge of Shia mysticism. The results of the study show that the poet focuses on the symbolic path of the spiritual journey of the “heart” in search of the “key to salvation”. The heart’s journey, depicted through a narrative language in the form of dialogues with the mountain, sea, sky and night, symbolically begins with constructing the heart’s house for the “Beloved”. It is presented as a process of spiritual development, where the seeker of truth moves from the mountain to the sea, from the sea to the sky, and from the sky to the night, ultimately reaching the final destination, namely the sacred shrine of Imam Ali, as the embodiment of perfection and guidance. This journey symbolizes the stages of human progression and transformation on the path to spiritual perfection.
