In addition to composing various types of poetry, Ibn Hosam Khusfi also authored an epic poem named Khavaran-nama. This work narrates the battles of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and is influenced by Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh. The composition of this religious epic was completed in 730 AH and was illustrated during the Timurid era, with its manuscripts preserved to this day. With the advent of printing in Iran, Khavaran-nama was published multiple times as lithographic prints over the past two centuries. However, no prior research has been conducted on these editions and their characteristics. The book was lithographically printed several times during the Qajar era in Iran and India. This study aims to analyze the lithographic editions of Khavaran-nama, examining their content and features, and identifying the individuals and locations involved in their production. Conducted using a historical approach and library-based research, the study relied on lithographic editions housed in the Astan Quds Razavi Library and the National Library of Iran. The findings reveal that in Iran, starting in the early Qajar period, the poetry of Khavaran-nama was adapted into prose with a colloquial, storytelling style suitable for recitation in coffeehouses. This adaptation was first lithographically printed in 1275 AH., the book was printed more than 16 times in Tehran, Isfahan, and Bombay. In Iran, the original poetic version of Khavaran-nama was never lithographically printed; only its poetic editions were published in Lahore and Peshawar. Most lithographic prose editions were produced by the Khansari family, followed by Mohammad Ali Vaziri.
