This study aims to analyze the Ardavīrāfnāmeh based on Martha Nussbaum’s theory of moral imagination, a framework that emphasizes the role of narrative in engaging the body, emotions, and moral judgment of the audience. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical method based on library sources. The findings reveal that the moral system of the text is constructed through the interaction of three key mechanisms: the formation of a sacred witness, the representation of endlessly repeated punishments, and the use of fear and disgust as persuasive emotional tools. These elements transform morality from an abstract doctrine into a lived and embodied experience. The narrative first creates a state of crisis to generate the need for certainty, then constructs a sacred witness to establish trust, subsequently depicts repetitive punishments to stabilize the relationship between action and consequence, and finally employs shock and disgust to internalize moral norms at an emotional and bodily level. Accordingly, the Ardavīrāfnāmeh presents a highly systematic structure of moral persuasion.
